Prerequisites for Configuring Instagram Data Source​

  1. Meta for Developers account
  2. Instagram business account connected to your Facebook page
  3. Facebook ad account ID number
  4. Instagram Graph API added to your Facebook app
  5. Facebook Instagram OAuth Reference

Configuring Instagram Data Source​

  1. Select the Source Type as Instagram

  2. Fill in the required details:

  • Start Date: The date from which you'd like to replicate data for User Insights

    • Format: YYYY-MM-DDT00:00:00Z
    • Example: 2017-01-25T00:00:00Z

  • Access Token: Enter Access Token generated using Graph API Explorer or by using an app you can create on Facebook with the required permissions:

    • instagram_basic
    • instagram_manage_insights
    • pages_show_list
    • pages_read_engagement

  1. Click on Test Connection to verify if the connection is established successfully.
